A report in Italy claims that Antonio Cassano is considering swapping Sampdoria for Atalanta during the January transfer window.

Antonio Cassano could reportedly bring an end to his second spell with Sampdoria in January.

The 33-year-old returned to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in the summer, having spent three years there between 2008 and 2011.

However, having started just two games this season, the attacker could depart this winter, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The report adds that Atalanta have already registered their interest in Cassano, who would be tempted by the move.

Should the deal be concluded, La Dea would become the seventh Serie A club that the former Italy international has played for.
