Harry Redknapp hopeful on Loic Remy fitness ahead of season opener

Loic Remy may be fit enough for to start for Queens Park Rangers in their Premier League opener against Hull City next weekend, manager Harry Redknapp reveals.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is hopeful that striker Loic Remy will be fit enough to start their opening Premier League game next weekend.

The France international, who saw a move to Liverpool collapse earlier this month following a failed medical, has not featured for the R's since returning from the World Cup.

Despite his lack of match fitness, Redknapp remains confident that Remy could still play a part against Hull City.

"He's worked really hard on the training ground, I couldn't have asked for any more from him," Goal.com quotes Redknapp as saying.

"He's trained great and his attitude's been first class. Hopefully with a week's training he'll be fit to play next week."

QPR lost their final pre-season friendly 1-0 against Greek side PAOK this afternoon.
