Speculation about Claude Puel’s replacement at Leicester remains a hot topic and the Guardian reports that efforts to land Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers have been stepped up as the former Premier League champions do not want to wait until the summer.

However, the Leicester Mercury reports that a list of targets is being drawn up by the Foxes and they may appoint an interim manager with Neil Lennon and Michael Appleton being linked with the role. The paper also said that Peter Stoger, the former Borussia Dortmund coach, is a candidate.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has played down links with the vacant position at the Foxes, the Burnley Express reports.

A trio of clubs have already declared their interest in signing defender Alessio Romagnoli from AC Milan over the summer. The club captain is wanted by Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea, with Juventus also keen, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Kasey Palmer may be on his way out of Chelsea without having played for the senior side, with Bristol City looking to make the midfielder’s loan deal permanent for around £4million, according to the Sun.
