A report claims that Manchester United's players have clashed over the club's bonus system which heavily favours Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba.

Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba are reportedly causing a dressing-room rift at Manchester United over a cash-for-goals conflict.

Both players have been linked with the Old Trafford exit as the summer transfer window approaches.

According to The Sun, big-earning forward Sanchez picks up £75,000 for every goal he scores, as well as £25,000 for an assist, while Pogba is on £50,000 and £20,000 respectively.

The rest of the United squad do not have the same incentives in their contracts, it is claimed, and that is causing jealousy behind the scenes.

Sanchez and Pogba argued over who would take a penalty for United against Leicester City earlier this season, which the report indicates was possibly down to the bonus system backfiring.

A source is quoted as saying: "The real problem is the incentive plan. It has caused a lot of animosity and is as responsible for the lack of the recent failure of team spirit as anything else."

Pogba has been tipped to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, but United are struggling to find a bidder willing to match Sanchez's £505,000-a-week salary.
