Manchester United attacker Juan Mata is determined to join Barcelona this summer, according to a report.

Juan Mata is reportedly determined to join Barcelona at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Mata has made over 200 appearances for Manchester United since a 2014 move from Chelsea, but the Spaniard's contract will expire this summer and it is thought that he will seek pastures new.

Atletico Madrid are amongst the Spanish clubs linked with a move for the 30-year-old, although Barca are believed to be firmly in the hunt for the playmaker.

According to Diario Sport, Mata is desperate to join the Spanish champions on a two-year contract, but it remains to be seen whether the club are prepared to meet his demands.

Last month, Mata's father - who is also his agent - hinted that the former Real Madrid youngster could return to La Liga at the end of the current season.

The Spaniard has contributed six goals and four assists in 32 appearances for United this season.
