A report claims that Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez revelled in Jose Mourinho's sacking and even allegedly profited from the club's decision.

Alexis Sanchez reportedly won £20,000 off Manchester United teammate Marcos Rojo as a result of Jose Mourinho's sacking.

The Red Devils parted company with the Portuguese on Tuesday morning on the back of the Red Devils' worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign.

Sanchez did not appear in any of United's final six matches under Mourinho due to a niggling issue that has seen him return to South America for recuperation.

According to The Sun, the £505,000-a-week forward revelled in his manager's demise and even profited from his dismissal.

The Chile international is alleged to have sent a WhatsApp message to the rest of United's squad reading: "I told you so!! Patience is all it takes. Rojo you owe me £20k!'."

Former Arsenal ace Sanchez was pictured riding a horse back home this week, despite being told to rest so that he can return to action early in the New Year.
