Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and co-chairman Avram Glazer reportedly meet with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's adviser, Jim Solbakken.

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and co-chairman Avram Glazer reportedly met with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's adviser, Jim Solbakken, following Saturday's 3-0 win over Fulham.

Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as head coach of United in December and has overseen a complete turnaround in fortunes at the club.

Indeed, United have won 10 of their 11 matches under Solskjaer, including eight of their last nine in the Premier League to move into fourth position in the table.

Solskjaer has seemingly placed himself in pole position to be appointed the club's new permanent boss, although Tottenham Hotspur's Mauricio Pochettino is still seen as the favourite by some.

According to The Mirror, Solbakken met with Woodward and Glazer following the win over Fulham to discuss United's plans for Solskjaer, who will lead the team into Tuesday's Champions League last-16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

United's next Premier League match is at home to title challengers Liverpool on February 24.
