Pep Guardiola has a break clause in his contract with Manchester City which could see him leave next summer, according to a report.

Pep Guardiola reportedly has a break clause in his contract with Manchester City which could see him leave his position as head coach at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

The Spaniard has been in charge of City since 2016, winning 143 of his 199 matches in charge, landing two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two League Cups in the process.

City are currently 14 points off leaders Liverpool in this season's Premier League table, though, and the experienced manager has cut a frustrated figure in recent weeks with injury problems harming his side.

According to the Daily Mail, Guardiola's current deal includes an agreement whereby he could leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the current season if he wishes.

However, the report claims that the club are not fearful when it comes to the 48-year-old as they feel that he will honour his current deal, which runs until the summer of 2021.

The Citizens will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's 2-1 home loss to Manchester United when they travel to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
