Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain welcomes Manchester City's Champions League last-16 tie against Monaco.

Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain has described the club's Champions League last-16 tie with AS Monaco as a "good draw".

Pep Guardiola's team could have faced Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund or Juventus, but it was Monaco who were drawn out of the pot.

"Monaco are playing probably the best football in France now," Begiristain told BT Sport. "In the group of Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen they were top. They have young players and a lot of talent. They play good football. It is a good draw."

The first legs will be played on February 14/15 and 21/22, with the return fixtures schedule for March 7/8 and 14/15.
