Former Liverpool winger Steve McManaman insists that he is not worried by Mohamed Salah's seven-game drought as Sadio Mane has taken on the goalscoring burden.

Former Liverpool winger Steve McManaman has insisted that he is not concerned by Mohamed Salah's recent drought in front of goal.

Salah has been in relentless scoring form since joining the Reds from Roma in the summer of 2017, but he is currently enduring his longest barren spell for the club having failed to find the back of the net in any of his last seven games.

By contrast, Sadio Mane has enjoyed a purple patch in front of goal, scoring 11 times in his last 11 outings, and McManaman admits that he is not bothered who is getting the goals as long as Liverpool keep on winning during the Premier League title run-in.

"One is in form and one is... not out of form, but one's not scoring the goals that we're used to him scoring. I don't think about it to be very honest - as long as one of them is scoring," McManaman told Sports Mole following the Liverpool legends' charity game against AC Milan at Anfield.

"As long as it's Roberto Firmino or Mo or Sadio Mane - as long as one is on a rich scoring run of form that's all that matters, as long as they win games."

Liverpool currently sit two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, and McManaman insists that there is no reason why Jurgen Klopp's side cannot win both the domestic title and the Champions League crown this season.
