Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how West Bromwich Albion could line up for their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

West Bromwich Albion will welcome Ainsley Maitland-Niles back to the fold for Sunday's Premier League battle with Liverpool at The Hawthorns.

The Arsenal loanee was ineligible to face his parent club in last weekend's 3-1 defeat - which confirmed the Baggies' relegation from the top flight - but he could displace Matt Phillips in the engine room as he prepares to return this weekend.

West Brom's infirmary is nearly empty at the minute, but Branislav Ivanovic (thigh) and Robert Snodgrass (back) are both likely to miss the remainder of the season, with the latter needing surgery to correct his problem.

Sam Allardyce may be tempted to tinker with his side given that they have nothing to play for anymore, with a potential shift to a three-man defence allowing Dara O'Shea to partner Kyle Bartley and Semi Ajayi.

Ajayi netted for the Baggies in their 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield back in December, and the defender will now aim to follow in the footsteps of Romelu Lukaku, who was the last West Brom player to score home and away against the Reds in the 2012-13 season.

There should not be many surprises in midfield, with Maitland-Niles linking up with Conor Gallagher and Okay Yokuslu behind creative hub Matheus Pereira.

Mbaye Diagne lasted just 56 minutes at the Emirates before being replaced by Hal Robson-Kanu, but the Galatasaray loanee will hope to keep his place up top.

West Brom possible starting lineup: Johnstone; Ajayi, Bartley, O'Shea; Furlong, Yokuslu, Maitland-Niles, Gallagher, Townsend; Pereira; Diagne
