Jurgen Klopp insists that there is still more to come from his Liverpool side, despite their astonishing performances in the Premier League this season.

Jurgen Klopp has insisted that there is still more to come from his Liverpool side, despite their astonishing performances in the Premier League this season.

The Reds have taken 79 points from a possible 81 and a victory over Watford on Saturday will put them within three wins of a first domestic league title in 30 years.

However, the German feels like there are still several areas, in all facets of the game, that the club can be working on.

Speaking ahead of the match at Vicarage Road, Klopp said: "There is still a lot of work to do and a lot of space for improvement. You see our games and result wise it looks okay but performance-wise there is a lot of space for improvement.

"In the long term there is a lot of space for improvement. Result consistency is maybe difficult to improve because that is close to perfection, obviously, but it is possible to improve the performances in all departments.

"Offensively, defensively, reacting, using your own opportunities like set-pieces, defending set-pieces better. There are so many things you can improve that that will never end. Probably."

Liverpool have lost just three games all season, once in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup when they had to split their squad between that competition and the Club World Cup, and twice in the Champions League.
