Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reveals that Roberto Firmino was not entirely happy with his performance against Tottenham Hotspur, despite scoring the winner.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Roberto Firmino was not entirely happy with his performance despite scoring the only goal of the game in his side's 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The Brazilian tucked home a 37th-minute winner for his ninth goal of the season, having already seen one clear chance blocked on the line in the opening exchanges of the match.

However, Klopp admitted after the game that Firmino was left feeling as though he could have increased his tally further, despite Liverpool holding out for a 20th win from their 21 league games this term.

"When I went to him to give him a hug after the game, one of the first things he said was 'I know I should have scored more goals'," Klopp told reporters in his post-match press conference.

"It was absolutely not what I wanted to say! But it's true probably and I don't even know where he should have. The first chance I think it was brilliant play and then he hits the goalkeeper and then Ox hits the post. But yes, super player. Pretty impressive."

Liverpool's win means that they have now amassed more points than any other team in the history of Europe's top five leagues after 21 games of a season.
