Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reveals that Diogo Jota will miss the rest of the Reds' season with a foot injury.

Liverpool attacker Diogo Jota will play no part in Liverpool's final two Premier League games of the season due to a foot injury.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers man was previously sidelined with a serious knee problem, which kept him out of action from mid-December until the beginning of March.

Jota has found the back of the net four times in the Premier League since returning from that issue, but he was nowhere to be seen in Sunday's meeting with West Bromwich Albion.

Now, manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the Portuguese attacker sustained an injury in last week's win over Manchester United, which will sideline him for the remainder of the season.

Speaking to Sky Sports News before the win over West Brom, Klopp said: "No good thing without a bad thing - so we won at Manchester United but Diogo got something with the bone. It's not too serious but serious enough to end the season for him."

Jota will therefore end his debut season at Liverpool with 13 goals and one assist from 29 games in all competitions, including nine strikes from 18 Premier League outings.

Liverpool moved to within one point of the top four with a 2-1 win at The Hawthorns on Sunday, during which Hal Robson-Kanu's opener was cancelled out by Mohamed Salah's effort and a late header from goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
