Leicester City captain Wes Morgan says that he cannot wait to play alongside new Foxes teammate Kelechi Iheanacho this season.

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has branded new Foxes teammate Kelechi Iheanacho "a very, very good player", and said that he cannot wait to play alongside the forward this season.

Iheanacho completed a £25m move to Leicester last week after being deemed surplus to requirements by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The 20-year-old is expected to make his official Leicester debut in Friday's Premier League opener away to Arsenal, and Morgan has revealed that he is excited to be playing with the Nigerian.

"He's a very, very good player. He's sharp and quick and he's definitely got an eye for goal," Morgan told reporters. "We did a round-robin tournament today and he was on my team. He popped up with some great goals from impossible positions, which is refreshing.

"It's good to see someone with that knowhow, someone with a different acuteness that adds something to the team. I think he'll come and do a great job for us."

Iheanacho scored 21 times in 64 appearances for City, including seven in 29 games during the 2016-17 campaign.
