Fulham are reportedly considering the possibility of appointing first-team coach and former player Scott Parker as manager should they sack Slavisa Jokanovic.

Fulham are reportedly considering first-team coach Scott Parker as a possible replacement for under-fire manager Slavisa Jokanovic.

Jokanovic's future has come under increasing scrutiny as a result of Fulham's poor start to life back in the Premier League, with the newly-promoted Cottagers sitting bottom of the table after 11 games.

Fulham have lost their last five top-flight matches - including defeats to relegation rivals Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town - and are winless in eight since their solitary victory of the campaign so far.

The West Londoners face a daunting trip to Anfield on Sunday and, while the board have offered no indication that defeat would result in Jokanovic being sacked, The Telegraph reports that they are considering replacements.

Fulham will weigh up their options during the upcoming international break and are thought to favour a managerial novice such as Parker rather than moving for the likes of David Moyes or Sam Allardyce.

The board believe that Parker's style of football is more in line with the team than the aforementioned duo, although the likes of Claudio Ranieri and Brendan Rodgers have also been touted as possible targets too.

Parker, who made 128 appearances over three seasons with Fulham during his playing days, is currently part of Jokanovic's backroom staff and is understood to be fully behind the manager.
