Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how France could line up for their Euro 2020 last-16 clash against Switzerland on Monday.

France manager Didier Deschamps could be facing a crisis at left-back ahead of his side's Euro 2020 last-16 clash with Switzerland on Monday evening.

Les Bleus took off Lucas Hernandez for Lucas Digne at half time in their recent draw with Portugal, but the Everton man lasted a mere seven minutes before picking up an injury which has dashed his hopes of playing in this encounter.

Adrien Rabiot - who is struggling with a troublesome ankle issue himself - had to deputise on that side in midweek, but Hernandez still has an outside chance of shaking off a knee issue in time, while Benjamin Pavard will return on the right over the injured Jules Kounde.

The indispensable duo of Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante are set to reprise their roles in midfield, but Deschamps is reportedly ready to field a back three with Clement Lenglet coming in alongside Presnel Kimpembe and Raphael Varane, which would see Corentin Tolisso sacrificed.

Injuries have also taken their toll on France's attacking third, as Ousmane Dembele is out for the remainder of the tournament while Marcus Thuram and Thomas Lemar are facing a race against time to shake off knocks picked up in training.

Neither Thuram nor Lemar would be likely to start this battle, though, as Deschamps is expected to keep faith in the attacking trio of Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema.

Benzema's brace helped France play out a 2-2 draw with current European Championship holders Portugal in midweek, and the Real Madrid man has fond memories of playing the Swiss after scoring one goal and assisting two more in France's 5-2 win at the 2014 World Cup.

France possible starting lineup: Lloris; Varane, Lenglet, Kimpembe; Pavard, Kante, Pogba, Hernandez; Griezmann; Mbappe, Benzema
