The Football Supporters Federation issue a statement to England fans travelling to Prague for Friday's Euro 2020 qualifier with Czech Republic to not "be a d*ck".

England supporters travelling to Prague for Friday's Euro 2020 qualifier with Czech Republic have been urged to refrain from excessive drinking and disorderly behaviour in a statement released by the The Football Supporters Federation.

Supporters following England abroad have often provoked a series of alcohol-related arrests, especially in away trips to places like Amsterdam and Dortmund.

Local authorities in Prague are anticipating similarly anti-social behaviour when England fans embark on a city known for its beer and absinthe.

In a statement released on Thursday, the FSF said: "There will be no alcohol on sale in the ground, and anyone looking (or presumably sounding, or even smelling) drunk is likely to be refused entry.

"We hope everyone has a great time, especially if you're at your first away game – welcome to the party.

"All we ask is that you treat each other, and everyone else you meet, with respect: this is an opportunity to make friends, and attract admiration, not criticism. So enjoy yourselves – but don't be a d*ck."

England fans became a cause of national discussion when many who travelled to Marseille for Euro 2016 erupted into violent clashes with Russian supporters, which left two English men in a critical condition.

Gareth Southgate recently branded the England fans who damaged property and engaged in violent conduct on the streets of Amsterdam in June as "embarrassing".
