England manager Roy Hodgson will reportedly recall Raheem Sterling to the starting XI for their last-16 clash against Iceland at Euro 2016.

England manager Roy Hodgson has reportedly opted to recall Raheem Sterling to his starting XI for tonight's last-16 clash against Iceland in Nice at Euro 2016.

The Manchester City player started both group matches against Russia and Wales, but was heavily criticised for his performances in both.

The 21-year-old was hauled off the pitch in the half-time interval of England's 2-1 win over Wales, and did not play a part in the following goalless draw with Slovakia.

According to a handful of British newspapers, Sterling will start against Iceland this evening to form an attacking trio with Daniel Sturridge and Harry Kane.

Adam Lallana, who suffered an injury scare last week, is expected to drop out of the first XI.
