Keith Millen: 'Crystal Palace deserved a point against Arsenal'

Keith Millen says that he is "proud" of his Crystal Palace players following their narrow defeat at the hands of Arsenal 24 hours after Tony Pulis quit as manager.

Crystal Palace caretaker manager Keith Millen has admitted that he was "disappointed" not to have come away from the Emirates Stadium with at least a point on Saturday.

A late Aaron Ramsey goal secured a dramatic 2-1 victory for Arsenal to deny the Eagles a share of the spoils just two days after boss Tony Pulis stepped down.

"I am disappointed not to get something we deserved, but I am proud of the players and of their performance," Millen told talkSPORT.

"It's been a tough couple of days and you never really know how they're going to respond to Tony leaving, but you could see the togetherness and the belief of the team, if we continue like that we'll be fine this year."

Palace return to action next weekend with a home match against West Ham United.
