Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew reveals his delight after his team booked their spot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win at Reading.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has paid tribute to his players following Friday's 2-0 victory at Reading in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Palace have become the first team to make the semi-finals of this season's competition, and Pardew has branded his side's performance against the Royals "really, really good".

"It was a tricky tie for us but we were really, really good today and should have wrapped it up before the penalty," Pardew told BBC Sport.

"We thought the keeper was man of the match. Great saves but you have to accept that sometimes. All you can do is the process - seeing the game plan through - and we did that today.

"It has been a strange run we have been on. We have been terrific in the cup but edgy and nervous in the league. Hopefully we can take this into league."

Palace are currently on a 12-match winless run in the Premier League, but have beaten Southampton, Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur on their way to the final four of the FA Cup.
