A report claims that Chelsea are considering a £20m January swoop for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Ben Davies.

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a £20m January swoop for Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies.

The Welsh international moved to Spurs from Swansea City in the summer of 2014, but has largely struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team due to the form of Danny Rose at left-back.

According to The Sun, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to boost his side's home-grown quota in order to satisfy Premier League relegations and has identified Davies as a possible arrival.

Davies, who was part of the Wales team that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016, made 17 Premier League appearances for Spurs last season.

Burnley's Michael Keane has also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as Conte targets British arrivals.
