Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has claimed that he is lucky to be alive following a serious concussion.

The Ivorian was knocked out after an aerial collision with Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy in the Blues' 3-1 win last month.

"When I see those images again it's scary. I was lucky, definitely," the 33-year-old told The Sun.

"Playing football is important for me but being alive and being with my kids and having my family happy that I'm still here is the most important thing."

Drogba could make a return to action this weekend when Chelsea take on Swansea City.
