The future of Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano at the Camp Nou is to be decided soon, according to the club's director Guillermo Amor.
Argentine Mascherano, who has 18 months left on his current contract with the Spanish giants, has only made 10 appearances for Ernesto Valverde's side this season.
The 33-year-old is in his seventh year with his current club after joining from Liverpool in 2010, but Amor has said that the former Red's hopes of a Barcelona stay will be discussed.
"What happens with Mascherano we will see soon," Amor told Movistar. "We have to see the movements and how everything happens.
"Mascherano is a captain, he is a winner and he is very important for us, when he plays and when he does not play, when he is injured or on the bench.
Mascherano has won two Champions League crowns in his time at Barcelona, who drew Chelsea in the last 16 of this season's competition.
