Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres reveals that there has been no change to his situation at the club, where his loan deal is due to expire at the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres has admitted that he is expecting to leave the club when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old rejoined his boyhood club on an 18-month loan deal from AC Milan in January 2015, just two days after joining the Serie A outfit on a permanent contract from Chelsea.

So far, Atletico have offered no suggestions that they will look to extend the Spaniard's stay, and Torres revealed that the situation has not changed in recent weeks.

"The end of the season is getting closer with every day and the situation remains the same," he told Canal+.

Torres marked his 300th Atletico appearance with a goal off the bench to help them to a 3-1 victory over Valencia at the Mestalla on Sunday evening.
