Former defender Bacary Sagna says that Arsenal, who are ninth in the Premier League and without a permanent manager, are being run 'like a circus'.

Former defender Bacary Sagna has claimed that under-performing Arsenal are being run 'like a circus'.

Despite over two weeks having passed since they sacked Unai Emery, Arsenal remain without a permanent manager, with Freddie Ljungberg being placed in charge on an interim basis.

As a result of the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, the Gunners sit in ninth position in the standings, and Sagna feels that the first-team squad should not receive all of the blame for the club's recent struggles.

The Frenchman told Sky Sports News: "It's a big circus at the club, you don't really know who's leaving and who is making the decisions. It seems like the players lack confidence.

"You can't blame them because they don't know who is going to be the next manager. It's a tricky situation for the club."

Mikel Arteta, Patrick Vieira and Carlo Ancelotti have been linked with the managerial position at the North London side.
