Another who has perhaps tarnished his reputation amongst Arsenal fans due to his current spell at Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas was nonetheless a key member of the Gunners' first team for seven years.

Having broken into the side as a 16-year-old in 2003, becoming the club's youngest ever player and goalscorer in the process, Fabregas was a first-team regular by the 2004-05 campaign and helped the club to FA Cup glory that season.

Still only a teenager, the Spaniard played against former and future club Barcelona in the 2006 Champions League final and was an ever-present in the following Premier League campaign.

Fabregas eventually returned to the Camp Nou in 2011 with only an FA Cup winners' medal to show from his time at Arsenal, but he left having made more than 300 appearances for the club across all competitions, 212 of which came in the Premier League.
