Simon Leviev, the man at the centre of Netflix's documentary The Tinder Swindler, has given his first interview since the film was released.
In the one-off programme, multiple women allege that they were duped by Leviev into giving them hundreds of thousands of pounds in order to fund his extravagant jetsetting lifestyle.
The accounts of the women seem irrefutable, but Leviev has now insisted that everything in the documentary was "completely made up".
"I am not this monster that everybody has created," he told Inside Edition. "I was just a single guy that wanted to meet some girls on Tinder. I'm not a Tinder swindler.
"They presented it as a documentary but in truth it's a completely made-up movie. I'm the biggest gentleman in the world."
He added: "I'm a legit businessman. I got into Bitcoin in 2011, it was nothing. I don't need to say how much it is worth now."
Since its release last month, The Tinder Swindler has been seen by more than 50 million households worldwide.
