ITV2 is reportedly developing a new show called Bad Chefs which will seek out the UK's worst amateur chefs.

ITV2 is reportedly developing a new format that will serve as an antidote to the traditional cooking show.

The programme, tentatively titled Bad Chefs, will hunt out the UK's worst amateur chefs and showcase their appalling culinary creations.

A source told The Sun: "While programmes like MasterChef and Great British Bake Off often make us feel inadequate, this is set to make us feel like we're all Michelin-starred gastronomes.

"It is partly inspired by the likes of Come Dine With Me where some of the biggest laughs come from the worst disasters.

"But the aim isn't just to give us the chance to poke fun at some unfortunate souls - even though that is an important part of the programme's appeal.

"Bad Chefs also provides them with the opportunity to improve themselves and hopefully enhance their relationships, health or family life in the process."

Bad Chefs, which has yet to be officially announced by ITV, is expected to air later this year.
