Demi Lovato is to star in a pilot episode of a new TV comedy for US broadcaster NBC.
The project - first announced in January - is called Hungry and follows friends at a "food issues support group" as they "look for love, success and the perfect thing in the fridge that's going to make it all better".
Lovato has recently been seen in a candid docuseries for YouTube, Dancing With The Devil, which explores her battles with drug and alcohol addiction.
Executive producers on Hungry include Lovato's manager Scooter Braun and Will & Grace star Sean Hayes.
Lovato has an extensive acting CV on the small screen, including appearing opposite Hayes in the recent revival of Will & Grace, as well as the teen movie Camp Rock and multiple episodes of shows such as Grey's Anatomy and Glee.
