Another candidate is given their marching orders by Lord Sugar on The Apprentice.

Amy Anzel has become the sixth candidate to be fired on the current series of The Apprentice.

The 48-year-old American businesswoman was given her marching orders after being accused of repeatedly ducking out of project manager responsibilities.

Kathryn Burn stepped up to manage her team for the second time for the latest task, which was to put on a bespoke tour in North Wales and earn as much profit as possible.

Stephanie Affleck guided her team to victory with a Highlands Railway event, which brought in a profit of £356.83, while Kathryn's tour of a slate mine generated a net of just £203.83.

Kathryn decided to bring back the sales sub-team - Aaron Willis and Amy - into the boardroom, having criticised them for their inability to shift tickets at the retail price of £85.

Advising Lord Sugar, Tim Campbell said of Amy: "It's week six now, she's had ample opportunity to step up and lead - and she hasn't grabbed it. Maybe she can't, or maybe she won't."

While Sugar was critical of Kathryn for her poor negotiating skills, he ultimately decided that Amy's hesitance to be project manager was reason enough for her to go home, telling her: "You haven't shown me that you can do something... you're fired."

The Apprentice continues next Thursday at 9pm on BBC One with a task involving driverless cars.
