Olly Murs reportedly leaves the record label he has been with since appearing on The X Factor in 2009.

Olly Murs has reportedly split from his record label RCA after 12 years.

The 37-year-old has been with the label since appearing on The X Factor in 2009, during which time he has had four number one singles and four number one albums.

According to The Sun, however, Murs has now decided to find a new label ahead of the release of his seventh album later this year.

"Olly was with RCA for 12 years which is a really long time," a source told the newspaper. "It felt like it was time to move on and try something new.

"He had a discussion with them and ultimately decided he wanted to shake things up a bit.

"He has been in the studio working on music for months now and wants to get it out soon.

"As things stand, loads of labels have expressed their interest and now it's just a case of finding the best deal which will work for him.

"Olly is really excited about the next chapter. He has had some time out and is raring to get going again now with a new team behind him."

Murs's packed schedule also includes hosting duties on ITV's new talent series Starstruck and his regular judging role on The Voice.
