Lewis Capaldi reveals that he is suffering from Tourette's Syndrome, causing him to occasionally twitch.

Lewis Capaldi has revealed that he has recently been diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome.

The 25-year-old Scottish singer - known for his chart-topper 'Someone You Loved' - said that the condition causes him to physically twitch but he has started receiving treatment in the form of Botox injections.

"I have been diagnosed with Tourette's," he told The Sun. "I wanted to speak about it because I didn't want people to think I was taking cocaine or something.

"My shoulder twitches when I am excited, happy, nervous or stressed. It is something I am living with. It is not as bad as it looks."

He added: "It comes and goes. Sometimes I can go months without doing it.

"I thought I had some horrible degenerative disease so I'll take Tourette's."

Tourette's - characterised by physical and/or vocal tics - is estimated to affect 300,000 people in the UK.
