Michael B Jordan praises Marvel's choice of title for the new Black Panther film.

Black Panther star Michael B Jordan has said that Marvel's decision to honour Chadwick Boseman in the upcoming sequel is "truly incredible".

Boseman, who played the titular superhero, died last August after a private four-year battle with colon cancer.

A second Black Panther film was in development at the time of Boseman's death and Marvel has since confirmed that the project will go ahead in his honour with the title Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Reacting to the new title in an interview with Variety, Jordan - N'Jadaka in the first movie - said: "Nice. Awesome. I like that. ... Marvel does great, amazing work and the characters are awesome.

"We all took a hit with the loss of Chadwick, so for them trying to figure out how to move forward, I know it's not an easy thing to do. So the fact that they settled on a title and figuring out this story, I think is truly incredible."

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is due for release on July 8, 2022.
