Former King of the Jungle Christopher Biggins says that he will not take part in the upcoming All-Stars edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Previous I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner Christopher Biggins has ruled out appearing on the upcoming All-Stars edition of the show.

Memorable contestants from the past 20 years are due to take part in a special spinoff show, which will be pre-recorded in South Africa later this summer and air on ITV early next year.

Showbiz legend Biggins, 73, was crowned King of the Jungle in 2007 and would have been among the top names expected to take part in the spinoff, but he has now explained his reasons for refusing.

"I wouldn't want to risk losing my King of the Jungle title," he told The Mirror. "I've done it and I loved it so it can only be disappointment.

"I am sticking with the good memories – and they were wonderful memories.

"I don't think it is [the same]. You've got to move on and do other things."

Among those in the frame to take part in the show are Helen Flanagan, Lady Colin Campbell, Paul Burrell and Gillian McKeith.
