Young singer Brooke Scullion is chosen to represent Ireland at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Brooke Scullion has been chosen to represent Ireland at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Six potential entries took part in Friday night's Eurosong 2022 on broadcaster RTE, with the winner being chosen after a combination of votes from the studio jury, the international jury and the voting public.

Scullion - a 22-year-old who has previously appeared on The Voice UK - actually finished second last with the studio jury but topped the rankings with both the international jury and the public to win the contest.

As a result she will now go on to represent Ireland with her song 'That's Rich' at Eurovision 2022 in Turin, competing for a place in the grand final in the second semi-final on May 12.
