EastEnders star Danny Walters has said that his character Keanu will show off his more sensitive side later this week when he proposes to Sharon (Letitia Dean).
Since his shock return to the Square over Christmas, Keanu has been involved with multiple women - including Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf), Chelsea Atkins (Zaraah Abrahams) and his old flame Sharon.
In scenes shown this week, Keanu comes to the conclusion that Sharon is his one true love and, after consulting with Sam and his mother Karen (Lorraine Stanley), he decides to propose to her.
"In Keanu's head, he's had the advice from Sam and Karen about how to make a relationship work," explained Walters.
"During this whole scene, Keanu is blinded but also very driven by his heart and what you'll see doesn't essentially go to plan for Keanu – of course it doesn't, it's a soap so nothing ever goes to plan!
"But, his heart is in the right place and his intention is quite pure and innocent and he's being quite vulnerable, which is a side to Keanu we haven't really seen. Hopefully that reflects the kind of character he is."

Whether Sharon accepts his proposal remains to be seen, but Walters is hopeful that the relationship - dubbed "Sheanu" by fans - will continue.
"I love working with Letitia Dean so I'd like to think yes and I would like to carry on working with her," he said.
"But this show always likes to throw curveballs to make conflict and drama! I hope they work out for Albie and his upbringing but we'll have to wait and see what happens in the future!"
EastEnders continues Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
