Jemma Redgrave has insisted that she has not heard anything official about a Doctor Who spinoff show centred around UNIT.
As part of the return of Russell T Davies as showrunner and a new partnership between the BBC and Disney+, spinoff Who shows in the vein of Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures are thought to be in the offing in the future.
Redgrave plays Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, the head of UNIT, in the show and will be returning for an episode of the next full series, sparking rumours that she and the organisation will be subject of a new spinoff.
"I don't know anything about a spinoff," she told Good Morning Britain. "But my book club did message saying, 'I saw something about you having a series' and I said, 'I've heard nothing about it and I should talk to my agent.'"
"I've done one episode in series 14 and it's such a wonderful thing to be part of that family," she added. "It was absolutely tremendous and to be part of Russell T Davies's vision is so exciting."
Doctor Who returns for three 60th anniversary special episodes in November, with Ncuti Gatwa taking over as The Doctor in this year's Christmas special.
