ITV confirms its plans for all-day coverage of the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla next month.

ITV has confirmed its all-day coverage plans for the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla on Saturday, May 6.

Julie Etchingham and Tom Bradby will be the lead anchor team throughout the coverage, which will air on ITV1 between 8.30am and 3pm without ad breaks.

Also contributing will be Charlene White, Mary Nightingale, James Mates and Nina Hossain - all stationed at key locations along the procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey.

The ITV1 coverage will come with the option of audio description for the first time, while ITV3 will broadcast a simulcast with in-vision signing.

In the week before the big day, ITV's daytime shows - Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women - will all feature Coronation-themed segments and guests, while on the Saturday there will be a special weekend edition of GMB hosted by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard.

"ITV's uninterrupted coverage on Coronation Day will capture every significant moment of an historically important event," said ITV News director Michael Jermey.

"We will provide viewers with a close up view of all the pageantry and public celebration. Our guests will reflect a range of views on what the new reign will mean for Britain and the Commonwealth."
