Raymond van Barneveld has said that he will try to play more PDC tournaments in 2017 after he dropped down the PDC Order of Merit.
So far, the five-time world champion has only played 18 ranking events this year and missed out on qualification for last week's European Championship.
The 49-year-old now sits in 14th position in the world rankings and with his top-16 place under threat, he has acknowledged that he must compete more regularly if he is to qualify for every competition.
Just to be 100% clear. For 2017 I will try and play every single tournament I can. Pro Tours, European Tours. Focus to get back up rankings

Van Barneveld is back in action at the World Series of Darts Finals in Glasgow this weekend before he attempts to win a second Grand Slam of Darts crown in Wolverhampton.
