Jos Buttler's highest-ever Big Bash League score was not enough to prevent Sydney Thunder from falling to a seven-wicket defeat against Hobart Hurricanes.
The Englishman scored 89 runs from 54 balls before being caught and bowled by Jofra Archer in the 20th over as Sydney reached 193 for six.
Some Buttler brilliance helped us set a total of 193! Now time to defend 👊

Hobart's openers laid the foundations for a successful chase, with Matthew Wade scoring 85 and D'Arcy Short getting 58.
And Simon Milenko clubbed the winning runs with five balls remaining to extend the Hurricanes' winning streak to three.

England captain Joe Root's struggles with the bat continued as he managed just 17 for the Thunder but he produced a good catch to take Wade's wicket.
