The New York Knicks are edging towards considering a trade for Carmelo Anthony, according to reports.

The New York Knicks are reportedly getting closer to considering talks about trading Carmelo Anthony.

The 31-year-old signed a new big-money four-year deal with the franchise last year, but the Knicks are questioning if a trade would allow them to rebuild.

"The Knicks should take a look, even though they do not have movable assets that would interest Phoenix [Suns], unless the Knicks are ready to engage in Carmelo Anthony trade talks, (they are not there yet but they are getting closer)," Grantland reported.

For the move to happen, Knicks owner James Dolan would have to sign the trade off while Anthony would need to waive his no-trade clause.
