Ricky Rubio insists that he is confident that the Minnesota Timberwolves want him to stay.

Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio is confident that the organisation is not trying to trade him.

Speculation has linked him with an exit this summer, but he is adamant that he will remain in Minnesota.

"I have confidence that the team wants me but you know in this league anybody can get traded," he told Gulf News.

"You do not listen to the rumours. You just live day-by-day and that is it."

Rubio averaged 10.3 points, 8.8 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game last season.
