Kobe Bryant has dismissed suggestions that he could play away from the Los Angeles Lakers next season.

The 37-year-old's contract ends at the end of the current NBA season, and while Bryant is yet to announce whether or not he plans to retire or renew, he insists that he will not play for any team other than the Lakers.

"I've said it so many times. I'm here, I'm a Laker for life," he told ESPN. "I'm not playing anywhere else, no matter what. It's just not going to happen. I bleed purple and gold, and that's just how it's going to be."

Following his side's win over the New York Nets on Friday night, Bryant was asked if it was the last time he would ever play at the Barclays Center.

"If this is the last time," he said, "I'm fine with that and I feel at peace with that."

Bryant made his NBA debut with the Lakers in 1996, since making over 1500 appearances.
