Larry King: 'Robert Kraft hopeful he has helped Tom Brady's appeal'

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft tells Larry King that he is hopeful he has helped the appeal of Tom Brady by accepting the sanctions meted out to his team.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is hopeful that accepting the sanctions against his club for the deflategate scandal will help Tom Brady, according to Larry King.

Kraft revealed that the Super Bowl champions will not appeal the punishments meted out to them by the league after it was found that they were more probable than not guilty of deflating footballs in the AFC championship game.

The Patriots owner is optimistic that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will now show leniency towards Brady in his appeal to remove or reduce his four-match suspension for his part in the scandal.

The Patriots were docked their first-round pick in the 2016 Draft and a fourth-round selection in 2017 along with a $1m (£641,000) fine.
